Great opportunity for a Unix Systems Administrator to join this Hertfordshire based market leading business. You will be responsible for the administration, support & maintenance of Unix servers, operating systems & associated services & applications. You will also be responsible for performance tuning & capacity management of Unix systems, managing the backup & restoration of data & systems & propose changes. In addition you will provide direct support to users of the Unix systems & provide backup to the Oracle DBA, table management, user management, backups & restore capacity management. You will need to have related exp. of a min. 1 yr as a Unix Systems administrator (Sun Solaris &*or HP-UX) ideally with exp. of NIS, DNS, NFS, TCP*IP, shell scripting, FTP or XFB. Exp. within a QMS environment would be great however quick learners with good communication skills will be considered as training is offered. This challenging role offers a great opportunity to the successful applicant.
